Cary Meiners day 7

My mprovised tool is made from a hair comb. I knew this would easily make the dream cottage. It helped but there is still lots to do.

Cary Meiners day 6

It just didn't work today. I was tired and did them just so I wouldn't be behind... And that is exactly how they looked. I didn't realize how important the right frame of mind was to a drawing.

Cary Meiners

First day back to work. All I could think about was sketching but was al,oat too tired to get it done.

Cary Meiners day 3

I am stuck in the black hole known as Denver International Airport. Fortunately, my sweet daughter gave me a jar of powder for Christmas. I am able to entertain myself and stay on schedule.  (Salt packet and equal seven as my tools!) If I hadn't read the blurb by Kelly about using what you have I probably wouldn't have had this fun.

This was done by pulling powder away instead of adding. It is very different. I think I like it.

Luckily, I was able to find a remote spot to play.

Cary Meiners day 2

I encountered a new problem with this tree: how do you deal with overlapping branches? This leads me to wonder about other pieces. When doing one of these paintings do you start with the foreground, fuse, and work your way back? Or just the opposite? Lots to ponder.

I do hope it will be noticed that I have 3, count them -3, overlapping branches. One at 4'oclock, one at 8'oclock, one at 9'oclock. Please don't miss any of these. They caused me considerable grief.

Also, does anybody else have trouble breathing when you are doing this?
