Cary Meiners day 30

I have been postponing this post because I really hate the idea of this being over. I will miss the daily challenge, the sense of accomplishment, and the delightful folks I have come to know. What a on derail bunch.

Again, Kelly, thank you. This has been an incredible journey. 2015 started off with a bang thanks to you. Thanks to you, I have discovered an outlet for creativity that I knew nothing of. I will enjoy it the rest of my life.

Cary Meiners day 25

More left handed bumbling. It is almost like my right hand doesn't listen to me. Numerous times my right hand reached over to take the card from my left hand... Without me even knowing what was happening. I did not cheat.... But I really really wanted to.

Cary Meiners day 24

I hit a wall when I tried to move to the other side of the tree. I did finally sort it out, but it took considerable concentration to make it happen. I felt so bewildered that it seemed funny. I simply couldn't get it done until I turned my tree upside down. That may be cheating.

Cary Meiners day 21

This value thing sucks. And shading too. I spent a loooong time and only got two stinking tulips done... Poorly.

Cary Meiners day 18

This shading thing is really hard. I can tell something isn't right but can't see what is wrong. I wonder how long it takes to develop your eye to see it.

Cary Meiners day 16

This was supposed to be a delicate lace handkerchief. It looks like a big rope on top of something. Delicate anything seems to escape me.

Cary Meiners day 15

A marinated chicken breast was hard to convey... You get the idea.

Cary Meiners Day 14

What is frightening? I have two big fears: I worry about the safety of my 4 adventure loving children and I worry about the well being of my two aging parents. These two fears have become daily companions. Sometimes they seem overwhelming. One of my best coping mechanisms is denial. With denial at my side, I will draw a picture of another big fear- an empty box of chocolates. I wouldn't have told you it was an empty box of chocolates if I could have labeled my drawing "empty box of chocolates" but since I couldn't I decided I should just go ahead and tell you it is an empty box of chocolates. Good thing we still have more drawings and more time to improve.

Cary Meiners day 13

5 minute shark sketch. A pleasure to dump this one back in the jar.
